Further strengthening the partnership between Subsea Geo Tools and Royal Eijkelkamp; we are pleased to announce that Huug Eijkelkamp, CEO of Eijkelkamp, will join the Subsea board of directors as Technical Advisor – Sonic Drilling.
Royal Eijkelkamp is a pioneer of Sonic Drilling, establishing commercialised Sonic Drilling technology more than 33 years ago. Royal Eijkelkamp, known worldwide for their famous hand augers, carries the Royal designation which is the recognition of Eijkelkamp’s long history as an innovator and leader in soil and water research technology.
Since its commercial introduction Sonic Drilling has become renowned for it’s unmatched productivity in overburden materials as well as it’s very high sampling quality and recovery rates in geologies difficult to sample with conventional drilling techniques.
The partnership between Subsea and Eijkelkamp allows us to provide our customers with the Sonic Drilling technology that has set the bar in the market. Subsea’s expertise in seabed geotechnics brings that technology to the seabed via the Explorer SD60 seabed drilling system.
